Dr. Oumair Aejaz Sexual Abuse Over 100 Years of Collective Experience

Dr. Oumair Aejaz Sexual Abuse Lawsuits

Legal Claims for Nonconsensual Pornography

Dr. Oumair Aejaz, who has practiced medicine throughout Rochester Hills and Oakland County, Michigan, has been accused of recording his patients via hidden cameras in changing rooms. Allegations also include sexually assaulting unconscious patients. He has been arrested and charged with “producing child sexually abusive activity, five counts of using computers to commit crime, and four counts of distributing or capturing images of an unclothed person.” While the criminal justice system determines if Aejaz can be convicted and penalized, his patients should now consider how the civil courts can also bring him to justice.

If you or your child were a patient of Dr. Oumair Aejaz in Oakland County, Michigan, you might have been unknowingly sexually abused by him—and you might be able to bring legal action in pursuit of justice and fair compensation for the harms you experienced. Grewal Law PLLC is currently investigating this story and hearing from people who might have claims against him and possibly the medical centers that employed him.

Our law firm has built a reputation for handling high-stakes sexual abuse lawsuits, including those involving:

  • Dr. Larry Nassar
  • Michigan State University
  • University of Michigan
  • USA Gymnastics/US Olympic and Paralympic Committee
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation

If you have a case, it is serious.   Bring it to the firm that doesn’t hold back. Call our award-winning sexual abuse attorneys at (888) 211-5798 to schedule a free and confidential case evaluation.

Where Has Dr. Aejaz Practiced?

Police investigators have warned that Dr. Oumair Aejaz did not discriminate when choosing his victims. Men, women, and children were all allegedly filmed by him without consent as they changed in and out of medical garments and also in public private areas, like dressing rooms and locker rooms. For this reason, it is feared that anyone who has been his patient at any point in time could be a victim of his criminal sexual acts.

Dr. Aejaz’s employment and practice history is known to include:

  • Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (Clinton Township)
  • Ascension Genesys Hospital (Grand Blanc)
  • Goldfish Swim School
  • Detroit Medical Center Sinai-Grace Hospital
  • Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital

If you or your child has been a patient at or attended any of these above facilities, you might have grounds to pursue a sexual abuse lawsuit.  Let our legal team know if Dr. Aejaz attended to you or your child anywhere else not on this list because it is believed his employment history might be longer than what is currently known.

How Many Patients Did Dr. Aejaz Abuse?

It is not known how many patients Dr. Aejaz has allegedly abused throughout his career. Early reports from the investigation indicate that most of his alleged assaults and use of illegally concealed video cameras happened in 2023. However, there is also no official information to prove that he has not been secretly filming nude patients for as long as he has been practicing. For this reason, the number of victims could be in the thousands. Prosecutors warn that he might have sexually abused more people than MSU’s Larry Nassar.

Deputies have announced that the evidence against Dr. Aejaz currently includes:

  • 6 computers
  • 4 cellphones
  • 15 external storage devices
  • At least 13,000 videos

Compensation in Claims Against Dr. Aejaz

It might be possible to bring a civil claim against Dr. Aejaz for subjecting you to sexual abuse by filming you without your consent. Depending on how the investigations unfold, the hospitals where Dr. Aejaz practiced might also be implicated in civil claims if it is found that one or more of them knew or reasonably should have known that he was abusing patients yet did nothing to stop it.

It is expected that most claims will seek non-economic damages for pain, suffering, traumatization, and other serious issues that sexual abuse survivors often experience. While handling your case, our attorneys would  carefully calculate an amount of compensation that would fairly reflect what your family has been through. Of course, if any economic damages – those related to tangible costs like medical bills and lost wages – are applicable, we know how to factor them into a claim, too.
