About
Chelsea Lenard is an associate attorney with Grewal Law PLLC. Her primary practice areas include cannabis, civil litigation, contracts, and general business matters.
Chelsea was born and raised in Metro Detroit. She later ventured down south to Murfreesboro, Tennessee where she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015 majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology.
Chelsea’s experience in the legal field began long before law school. During college, Chelsea worked as a file clerk at a law firm in Detroit in 2013. While in Tennessee, she interned at the Rutherford County District Attorney’s Office working for their cold case unit, and later worked as a paralegal for a general practice firm from 2015 to 2017.
During law school, Chelsea worked as a Law Clerk for Grewal Law. She was a clinician for the Animal Welfare Clinic and worked as a student editor for the Animal Legal and Historical Web Center. She also served on the board for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Chelsea regularly advises businesses on regulatory and general operational matters. Chelsea has a full understanding of the intricacies of state and local laws governing cannabis businesses and has successfully guided companies from inception to obtaining the appropriate state and local licenses. Chelsea also has experience in commercial litigation and breach of contract actions.
Chelsea is an effective advocate for her clients, always making sure each client fully understands their rights and spotting potential issues before they actually become a problem. Chelsea strives to resolve each client’s matter in the most cost-effective way.
Chelsea is currently a board member of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends, family, and pets.
